"Still Ballin' " is the name of a rap song by Cee Wee3 and the late Nipsey Hussle (Tupac also released a song by the same name; different lyrics). The lyrical hook in Still Ballin' is, "Tupac, Eazy-E, dead but these ni##as still ballin' ."
XXXTentacion, aka Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy was killed at the age of 20; Nipsey Hussle, aka Ermias Joseph Asghedom was murdered at the age of 33. Both rappers released mixed tapes, basically promoting their own music and generating their own income.
And less we forget, Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, Magic Johnson, Derek Jeter, Lebron James, Jay-Z, Drake, and a host of other Black entrepreneurs in all areas, are all still ballin' in this earthly dimension; all laying the groundwork on how others can attain monumental success.
WSJ Article: Nation of Islam Tries to Accept Gift of $1 Billion from Libya
Muammar Gaddafi was murdered by U.S. Agents on Oct. 20, 2011.. the article above was written in Aug 1996 and is clearly one of the reasons why the U.S. govt had to take him out. Offering 1 billion to Afr Americans would have greatly assisted in leveling the financial playing field.
"For seven months a handful of African-Americans, centered around the Rev. Louis Farrakhan, have quietly been making plans for the day when Libya's leader, Col. Moammar Gadhafi, would carry out his pledge to give $1 billion to Mr. Farrakhan's Nation of Islam to help America's black people."
This is why it is critical for people of color to generate our own wealth. Asking White America for reparations, cows will fly airplanes before that happens. So we MUST do for ourselves.
