Mamba Mentality

Tupac, Nipsey Hussle, and Kobe are, in their passing, larger than life. At the ages of 25, 33, and 41, their human bodies could no longer contain such creative spirits. For there is always work to do on the "Other Side." The work is much more stimulating and it reaches more souls across the universe.

"Still Ballin' " is the name of a rap song by Cee Wee3 and the late Nipsey Hussle (Tupac also released a song by the same name; different lyrics). The lyrical hook in Still Ballin' is, "Tupac, Eazy-E, dead but these ni##as still ballin' ."

XXXTentacion, aka Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy was killed at the age of 20; Nipsey Hussle, aka Ermias Joseph Asghedom was murdered at the age of 33. Both rappers released mixed tapes, basically promoting their own music and generating their own income.

Both entertainers will be financially worth quadruple more posthumously than they would have been if they lived (neither will ever catch the King of Pop, Michael Jackson; his estate made $400 million in one year, with the next in line being Elvis at $35 million). Although they have transitioned, Nip, XXXTentacion, Kobe, Eazy-E, Bob Marley, Reginal Lewis (see the book, "Why Should White Guys Have All the Fun?: How Reginald Lewis Created a Billion-Dollar Business Empire") and several other entertainers and entrepreneurs left amazing blueprints for Black America to emulate.

And less we forget, Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, Magic Johnson, Derek Jeter, Lebron James, Jay-Z, Drake, and a host of other Black entrepreneurs in all areas, are all still ballin' in this earthly dimension; all laying the groundwork on how others can attain monumental success.

WSJ Article: Nation of Islam Tries to Accept Gift of $1 Billion from Libya

Muammar Gaddafi was murdered by U.S. Agents on Oct. 20, 2011.. the article above was written in Aug 1996 and is clearly one of the reasons why the U.S. govt had to take him out. Offering 1 billion to Afr Americans would have greatly assisted in leveling the financial playing field.

"For seven months a handful of African-Americans, centered around the Rev. Louis Farrakhan, have quietly been making plans for the day when Libya's leader, Col. Moammar Gadhafi, would carry out his pledge to give $1 billion to Mr. Farrakhan's Nation of Islam to help America's black people."

This is why it is critical for people of color to generate our own wealth. Asking White America for reparations, cows will fly airplanes before that happens. So we MUST do for ourselves.

Kobe lived a life as an iconic global superstar, 5-time NBA champion, successful entrepreneur, business owner, Author, Oscar-Emmy-Annie winner, loving husband, and father. There was nothing more for Mr. Bryant to accomplish on this level.

"Unfortunately for us athletes, we have been pigeonholed into thinking that we can only do one thing. I'm here to show people that we can do much more than that. Winning an Oscar, Emmy, and the Annie, those are things that are showing other athletes that come after me... no no, there's more to this thing. The discipline, the commitment, the team, the community, how do I take those lessons and move those here. Having that sharp focus is something that I got from the game of basketball. You have to dance beautifully in the box that you are comfortable dancing in. My box was to be extremely ambitious within the sport of basketball. Your box is different than mine. Everybody has their own, it's your job to try to perfect and make it a beautiful canvas... and if you have done that, then you have lived a successful life, you have lived with Mamba Mentality."

LeBron James blows off Fox News host: “I will definitely not ‘shut up and dribble.’ I mean too much to society.”

"I mean too much to society [to 'shut up and dribble']," James told reporters. "I mean too much to the youth, I mean too much to so many kids that feel like they don't have a way out and they need someone to help lead them out of the situation they're in."
